Have you ever had cravings so intense that they last for days? The kind that have you dreaming in chocolate, steak, or cheese?

Or maybe it’s a particular restaurant that calls to you from the innermost depths of your psyche, leaving you craving a particular dish.

In my world, said call regularly comes from Don Patron Mexican Grill. It’s one of my favorite spots here in the Deep Creek Lake area.

Not only does Don Patron cure cravings in record time, but they also have a great atmosphere and a friendly staff. Plus, it’s conveniently located in Oakland (so nothing is stopping me and my family from paying frequent visits).

My go-to dish — the one I crave for days at a time — is the Chori Pollo. It’s a huge platter that always fills me up, and the flavor combination is incredible. Honestly, I don’t think you’ll know the true meaning of “seasoned to perfection” until you try it.

Then, for a sweet treat, I recommend the Cheesecake Chimichanga. It’s a uniquely delicious, can’t-miss dish that will have your “not really a dessert person” friend questioning their life choices.

Come to think of it, everything on Don Patron’s menu is worth trying. I’ve never ordered a dish I didn’t enjoy, and neither have my kids. It’s a great place for picky and adventurous eaters alike (especially when the chicken and/or cheese cravings hit).
