The Best Sandwich in Garrett County

They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and honestly, they’re probably right. I, for one, am much less hangry by lunchtime if I make an actual effort to eat a protein-packed, nutrient-dense meal first thing in the morning.

So, it all comes down to timing, right? If I wake up late, I’m much less likely to eat a balanced breakfast. I’m out here trying to cram in a meditation, a workout, a shower, and a million other little things before the workday begins. As a local realtor, folks are counting on me to show up for them!

But being in a rush is often how I wind up pouring cereal into a bowl for the third day in a row, or scarfing down a couple of eggs and running out the door. As Wendy’s asked us many moons ago, “Where’s the beef?” Or rather, where’s the MEAT, period?!

The good news is, I found it. The even better news is that it tastes incredible.

Without a doubt, the best breakfast sandwich in Garrett County comes from Arrowhead Market. It is truly one of the greatest delis in the Deep Creek Lake area, and it has commercial boat slips!

But back to the breakfast sandwich because it deserves more attention. On busy mornings, I order the sausage, bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich, and it is so good. Nothing compares to it… seriously. This sandwich is my “You’re stranded on an island and can only bring one thing with you. What is it?” meal.

As if that’s not enough, Wednesdays at Arrowhead Market are my favorite because they have a chicken sandwich special that is ten times better than Chick-fil-A. Yeah, I said it. And I mean it. Try this sandwich and let me know what you think!

Oh, and I can’t forget to mention the chipotle bacon chicken sandwich. That one is delicious, too.

At this point, you’re probably thinking, “Justin, you’re listing half the menu,” and you’d be right. Everything at Arrowhead Market is incredible. You won’t be disappointed, no matter what you choose and no matter the time of day.

So, next time you get a late start, head over to Arrowhead Market. And be sure to tell them Justin sent you!
